Calling all heavyweights 10 kg tray

02.10.2015

Hutthurm, 02.10.15 – Weights of 1 kg, 3 kg or 5 kg are no problem at all for standard PP (polypropylene) trays.

However, many trays will struggle and threaten to fail under the strain with weights of 10 kg or more. The latest ribbed trays by ES-Plastic can easily cope with even such heavy loads. Everything from meat or fish products to mussels, fruit and vegetables, etc. can be hygienically and attractively packaged. The strongman is of course equally suitable for transporting non-food items. This version weighs around 10% less than traditional injection-moulded trays, meaning lower DSD fees and fewer valuable raw materials used. The 10 kg tray is sealed with a stable PP or PE (polyethylene) sealing film. The trays are currently available in transparent, blue or green. If a customer requires a different colour, the packaging specialist from Hutthurm can offer all available RAL or Pantone colours. The dimensions of the basic version (500 mm (L) x 300 mm (W) x 122 mm (H)) offer a maximum volume of 14,225 ml and a weight of 254 g. Here, too, ES-Plastic offers other forms and designs which can be produced quickly by the company's own tool shop.
